Exam centre renovations and changes to examination timetables

Last year, we announced plans to carry out some renovations in the ADC examination centre. We are happy to share that we have now installed two more dental chairs in the simulation clinic. This means that from the start of period 2, our practical examination capacity will increase from 24 to 28 places per session.

To ensure we can also accommodate additional candidates in the OSCE rotations, we will be introducing some changes to the schedule of the clinical day from 28 May 2025. The changeover time at the end of each OSCE station will be reduced from 2 minutes to 1 minute. No changes will be made to either the reading time or the examination time, which will remain 3 minutes and 10 minutes respectively. Candidates will also receive extra rest breaks during their circuits.

We’ve made these changes to create more opportunities to sit the examination and further reduce waiting time, and we look forward to being able to welcome more candidates in the exam centre each day.
