Revised resin composite marking rubrics for the general dentistry practical examination 2nd Apr 2026 As previously advised, starting in period 2, 2026, the amalgam restoration task will be removed from the practical examination and will be replaced by a second resin composite restoration task. This means all candidates completing the general dentistry practical examination will be required to complete both an anterior and a posterior resin composite restoration during their technical skills day in the simulation clinic. The current resin composite restoration marking rubric has been reviewed and from Period 2, 2026 there will be two separate rubrics for the resin composite restorations, one for the anterior and one for the posterior tasks. Copies of the rubrics can be found on the handbooks and materials page on the ADC website. Previous Article Next Article
