Dr Chris Bourke Board Director Chris is a Gamillaroi man and the first Indigenous dentist in Australia. With an extensive career in public and private practice, Dr Bourke helped establish the Indigenous Dentists’ Association of Australia and was its inaugural President. In 2011 he was elected to the ACT Legislative Assembly, the first Indigenous representative, and held various ministerial portfolios. Chris is currently the Director, Indigenous Science and Engagement, CSIRO, and a Member of the ACT Voluntary Assisted Dying Oversight Board. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, a member of the Australian Dental Association, an Honorary Professor at Macquarie University and an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne.
