Finance Audit and Risk Monitoring Committee - Independent member vacancy

The Australian Dental Council (ADC) Finance Audit and Risk Monitoring Committee (the Committee) is seeking a suitably qualified applicant to fill the independent member vacancy, commencing in June 2019.
A Standing Committee of the ADC, the Committee is responsible for advising and providing recommendations to the ADC Board on matters within the scope of its terms of reference. This includes matters relating to:
- the monitoring of the organisation’s finances and ensure a budget is prepared annually for the ADC and the Dental Board of Australia (DBA)
- the receipt of an annual compliance report from an external accountancy firm regarding the ADC’s financial operational practices
- monitoring the organisation’s ability to assess, monitor and manage risk.
Expectation of applicants
The independent member of the Committee is expected to have the skills, qualifications and experience in risk and financial monitoring, preferably in the for purpose or government sector, at a level proportionate with the profile of the ADC.
Applicants are required to show how they meet and demonstrate their experience and/or knowledge against the Attributes. Please note, the ADC is seeking to appoint an individual to this essential role and will not accept applications from companies to fulfil these criteria.
