Practical examination application period for places in May to July 2019

The Australian Dental Council (ADC) is pleased to announce the application period for practical examinations in May to July 2019. 

Application period dates

The application period for practical examination places in May to July 2019 will open from Tuesday 19 February to Tuesday 5 March 2019.

How to apply

Eligible candidates can submit their application form  and supporting documentation via post. 

Application period eligibility 

Applications for practical examinations in May to July 2019 are only open to candidates who:

• Have a valid written examination with an expiry date later than April 2019. 
• Do not hold an existing or provisional practical examination booking, have pending practical examination results, or a pending appeal.
• Have not sat a practical examination within three months of the examination period. 

Provisional practical examination bookings relate to candidates with an expression of interest (EOI) or application pending during the application period. 

Candidates with a pending verification, but not an appeal, who otherwise meet the above criteria, may apply for an examination place during this application period. 

Practical examination seat availability

With more than 450 candidates eligible for 240 practical examination seats available during this application period, the ADC is anticipating a high level of interest from eligible candidates. 

Future application periods and eligibility criteria are not confirmed at this time. Candidates who were unsuccessful during the EOI are encouraged to submit an application during this period. All candidates are advised to carefully consider the expiration date of their written examination and be ready to submit their applications early during the application period. 

Additional information

In fairness to all candidates, the ADC cannot consider applications received outside the defined application period, or from candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria.

Future practical examination application periods and examination dates will be announced via the organisation’s website, as soon as the information is available.
