Successful candidate stories: Dr Mahmoud Bakr
4 September 2019
The dental practitioner assessment process (the process) aims to protect the safety of the public by assessing the knowledge, judgement, clinical skills, and professional attributes of overseas trained professionals seeking eligibility to register as a dental practitioner with the Dental Board of Australia.
Each candidate successfully completing the process has their own story to tell and may go on to work in a variety of fields across Australia. Some have returned to the ADC to help deliver our accreditation and assessment functions as an assessor, examiner or item writer.
Dr Mahmoud Bakr has gone on to achieve great success since completing the dental practitioner assessment process. An ADC examiner and item writer, Dr Bakr is a recent recipient of the Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the United Kingdom. A prestigious accolade, the Fellowship is recognition of Dr Bakr’s professionalism and commitment to producing innovative approaches to dental education.
