The Australian Dental Council (ADC) congratulates Board Director, Associate Professor Deborah Cockrell on receiving the Australian Dental Association’s (ADA) Distinguished Service Award.

An active contributor to the Australian dental profession, Deborah was honoured for her exemplary contribution to the ADA at a Branch and Federal level, academia, outreach services, and public and private practice over many years.

The ADC has had the privilege to see this passion and commitment first-hand through Deborah’s work as Chair of the Accreditation Committee and as a Board Director, said Chief Executive Officer, Narelle Mills.

“Deborah has long been a key contributor to the work of the ADC. During her time with the organisation, she has worn many hats, including as Past Chair of the Board of Directors, and has played roles in the review of our Accreditation Standards and professional competencies.”

“She is a dedicated mentor and her unparalleled passion and commitment to the continuous improvement of the Australian oral health sector is infectious. On behalf of the ADC I would like to congratulate Deborah on this well-deserved honour,” said Narelle.
