Candidate Reference Group Update April 2026

We’ve recently welcomed two new members to the ADC Candidate Reference Group (CRG), Anastasiya Gutorova and Macarena Andrea De Larraechea Yrarrazava!

Anastasiya and Macarena attended their first meeting last week when they had the opportunity to meet the other members of the CRG and contribute to the discussions.

Learn more about them below.

Anastasiya Gutorova

Anastasiya qualified as a dentist at the University of Pretoria in 2017. In South Africa she practiced in the public and private sector for 5 years before immigrating to Australia at the end of 2022. Since arriving in Australia her family has grown by two sets of little feet and as much as she adores being a mum, she cannot wait to restart her dental career in Australia where she hopes to someday make a difference in rural QLD.

Macarena Andrea De Larraechea Yrarrazava

Macarena is a dentist from Chile, qualified since 2015. She has been living in Australia since 2022, where she continues growing both personally and professionally.

She is a proud mother of a beautiful little girl who is 2 years and 9 months old—she is her whole world. Together with her husband, who is a chef, they share a big passion for cooking and enjoy creating new dishes at home.

In her free time, she loves staying active and training, as she believes in maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

CRG Meeting Update

The first meeting of 2026 was held on 25 March. Members provided some very valuable insights on the recent introduction of a feedback report for the practical examination, which provides additional information to candidates on their performance in the the tasks completed in the simulation clinic. We will use this information to explore how we can roll out other initiatives to further enhance the feedback we provide.

The CRG also discussed possible future changes to examination bookings, and we hope to be sharing additional information on plans to simplify the application processes in the coming months.
