Updates to ADC Candidate policies

We have recently reviewed the Candidate Misconduct Policy and the Verification, Review and Appeals Policy and the updated versions will come into effect from 1 January 2026.

The main change introduced as a result of this review relates to the Verification, Review and Appeals Policy which has been renamed Review and Appeal Policy. Under the new policy, verifications will be retired and longer offered. The change has been introduced after careful consideration, and consultation with the Candidate Reference Group and the decision was based on the following:

• The number of requests the ADC receives annually is very low
• All scores are entered into the marking system
• Extensive checks are conducted before results are released
• No errors have ever been identified since scoring is computer-based.
