Updates to the Therapeutic Guidelines

In September 2025, the Therapeutic Guidelines – Oral and Dental were updated to version 4.

The update includes new content on postoperative complications, oral mucosal diseases, trauma, and dental considerations for patients with obesity, liver or kidney failure, cognitive disability and obstructive sleep apnoea. There are also revised drug recommendations, new photos, flow charts and printable figures.

The updated guidelines will come into effect for Written Examinations across all dental professions starting March 2026.

For practical examinations, the updated guidelines will come into effect from period 2 2026 for general dentists, and from June 2026 for all other dental professions.
