Inaugural meeting of International Accreditation Committee 11th Mar 2025 We’ve previously shared news of accreditation teams undertaking visits to review overseas dental education programs as part of our services offered through ADC International (ADCI). ADCI offers a range of activities including: the development and review of quality assurance standards, policies and process to ensure their alignment with best practice the accreditation of international dental practitioner programs, benchmarking them against Australian standards. In January 2025, we held the inaugural meeting of the International Accreditation Committee. The Committee is chaired by Associate Professor Deborah Cockrell AM and members include: Emeritus Professor Paul Abbott AO Ms Nimi Ashok Ms Kelly Jean Burden Mr Jonathon Kruger (ADC CEO) Dean Emeritus Johan De Vries Professor Hien Ngo. The committee will undertake a variety of roles including: evaluation and monitoring of international dental practitioner programs, including provision of recommendations for improvements to international dental practitioner programs assessment of dental practitioner programs against Accreditation Standards provision of expert advice on the development and review of quality assurance standards, policies and processes for international clients to ensure their alignment with best practice. The committee ensures consistency in decision-making across our Board and both the Australian and International Accreditation Committees. Their work will support the development of ADCI’s as we grow our leadership in accreditation nationally and internationally.
