Overall, the results are promising, with responses from monitoring questions demonstrating a clear commitment from education providers to continue to review and develop programs to better address cultural safety.
The ADC is continuing to monitor these trends, to assess the impact of accreditation in improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations. A recent publication details the progress reported by education providers in their annual submissions.

Through the ADC’s annual reporting process, all education providers are required to submit a report on each program being delivered. In 2023, the ADC used these reports to assess progress on the implementation of the revised Competencies, with specific reference to cultural safety.
