First Peoples and Allies Reference Group: Meeting on Country

We were pleased to host the First Peoples and Allies Reference Group at the ADC office in Naarm/Melbourne on Friday 11 September 2026, for a full day of in-person sessions.

Joined by members of the ADC’s Examination Development team, the group explored approaches to developing questions that assess internationally qualified dental practitioners’ knowledge and application of culturally responsive care. The group then worked closely with the examination team to draft some sample questions informed by these discussions.

The day included a Weaving Workshop facilitated by Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung woman Kathryn Morris from Marbeangrook Designs. The workshop provided an opportunity for participants to connect, reflect and engage in a shared cultural experience. Kathryn generously shared her knowledge of traditional weaving techniques, helping to set the tone for a productive and meaningful day of collaboration.
